Should I renovate my home before I sell it?
Renovations that involve making repairs to the house such as repairs that will prevent water from coming in, are definitely recommended. However, as far as having renovations to make a house look more modern may not be a good idea. The new homeowners may not have the same tastes as you, and may wish to renovate the home after they purchase it anyways.
How do I turn my basement into a legal basement suite?

What is the best type of siding?
There are a few things to take into consideration including budget, and where your home is located. If your primary concern is budget, then vinyl siding is recommended. However, if your home is situated on a lot where it is close to a adjacent house, or close to trees on an acreage, concrete siding is highly recommended as it is more fire resistant.
